EdgeForward is a Pre-Assessment & Development system designed for figure skaters, aligning with Skate Canada's STAR 6-Gold assessment criteria. It focuses on foundational skills necessary for success in figure skating assessments.
The EdgeForward system evaluates a skater's readiness for assessments not only based on specific criteria but also by emphasizing the fundamental aspects of figure skating disciplines.
EdgeForward is suitable for all figure skaters looking to enhance their skills and prepare for assessments, particularly those aiming for the STAR 6-Gold level.
EdgeForward is designed to be flexible. While a Skate Canada–trained Evaluator or Coach Assessor is recommended, skaters can also use the program to train and assess one another.
Currently, EdgeForward is designed in line with Skate Canada's guidelines, making it primarily available to Canadian skaters. However, the fundamentals of our program are still applicable to figure skaters all over the world!
